OK - my review of TTATS thus far....

1. Darkness - loved it.
2. I like the way - liked it.
3. Light - again, I liked this one.
4. Popular - fun, frothy, forgettable.
5. Dublin sky - liked this one too. Great lyrics.
6. Hero - loved this one. *wonders how many DH fans will realise that it's aimed squarely at them* [img]graemlins/devil.gif[/img]
7. Unlovable - AARGHHH! Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! (apart from the chorus which is ok) *sends my ears to the Trauma Clinic*
8. Void - only half way through this one atm but I keep expecting Ozzy Osbourne to start singing....

So, atm it's a [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img] from me but it would've been more of a [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img] had someone trampled on Mr Conley's keyboards!

^^ Yeah Barb, that's a real bugger isn't it. [img]graemlins/sure.gif[/img] I truly can't understand why he wanted to have his lyrics overwhelmed like that. [img]confused.gif[/img]

But OMG! what a holy f****** nightmare that 'Unlovable' track is. I nearly ironed my hand when that one came on. I tried to listen to all of it but I just couldn't - it was just too bloody awful. What a shame though cos had those lyrics been set to a different arrangement, I reckon it could've been a belter!

8. Void - sort of weirdish. Dunno about this one atm but I do know that those *gggwwwrrrkkk* noises in the background remind me of the noises my tummy makes after I've eaten a particularly spicy curry! [img]eek.gif[/img] *g*

9. I forgive you - like this one too. Also like his voice a lot on this track - very soulful.

10. Feel ? hmmmmm, a bit dreary this. I quite like the lyrics but I?m not too keen on the music. It has a pretty depressing sound actually.

11. Love & Attraction ? OK, now the music is really starting to bug the crap out of me! I used to make noises like this on my old bog-standard Casio keyboard, especially that bloody annoying rat-a-tat-a-tat-a-tat-a-tat-a-tat drumbeat. I?m finding it very hard to concentrate on the lyrics now. Damn it! [img]mad.gif[/img]

12. Sense of humour ? Now this is what I call a beautiful song ? absolutely lovely. His voice sounds sublime on this one. My fave track so far. [img]smile.gif[/img]

13. Ego ? not bad. It sounds a bit Beatle-ish, imo but Gawd! it doesn't half go on doesn't it?

So, in summing up, I?ll definately be buying this album when it comes out but I will <u>NEVER, EVER</u> listen to Unlovable again. That track will go the way of IBHWC and Good Enough!

Oh gosh. I pretty much agree with you Terry, especially about Unlovable. I can only really bitch about that one though, because I vividly remember not liking it and I haven't heard it or any other tracks [except Popular] again since - I haven't bothered to download any. ^^

Normally when faced with such a thing I would have just skipped it - unfortunately I was at the listening party. There were a few tracks I didn't like when I was there, but none so much as Unlovable. I despised the arrangement and the overall tone of the song. I was generally like, *shudder* but usually I would have just made my feelings known. But being where I was, I was all, "What do I do?" I really didn't like it, and I was nervous about that, so I started a bout of nervous giggles, and avoided all eye contact by turning around - except Darren happened to be standing behind me, he'd crept in and nobody had yet noticed. >_<

Seriously, that's a very fair and just review. I probably won't hear it again until we get it on the release date, so I'll shut up now. ^^

I love Ego, Dublin Sky, and Hero very much, I also love the feeling and beat of The Way I Like It.

I'll be buying a few of these. I'll have to get one right away and another again when its released here. Keep one virgin if I ever bump into Mr Hayes [img]wink.gif[/img]
